Documentation

Description:
Snapshots of >5.9 million Zoopla rental property listings for >2.9 million properties in England and Wales from 2014 to 2024 inclusive. The WhenFresh/Zoopla Property Rentals dataset refreshes and updates yearly with a new batch of snapshots, capturing the present state of the rental property market in England and Wales and uniting these with historic snapshots taken over the last decade. The data that make this possible are sourced from our data partner, WhenFresh by PriceHubble. Users can explore the rental property market in England and Wales using the two relational tables included in this dataset: properties (containing the addresses/postcodes of properties that are/have been on the rental market) and listings (containing snapshots of the details in the rental property listings, e.g., the listed property type, listed property characteristics, advertised rent, etc.). Looking for inspiration? See Five Ways Researchers Are Using Our WhenFresh/Zoopla Data! This Safeguarded version of the WhenFresh/Zoopla Property Rentals dataset does not include any proxy migration information. Users who need this supplementary information for research purposes may, instead, apply for access to the WhenFresh/Zoopla Property Rentals and Postal Redirections [Controlled] dataset which is augmented with Royal Mail postal redirection data (note: access to HASP Controlled Data is subject to stringent application criteria and the data are only accessible via a secure/trusted research environment). For a full list of tables and columns/fields included in this dataset, please see the Data Dictionary in the menu on the left hand side.
